2008 CHAPTER 54 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

ASPE Columbia-Pacific Chapter 54 is offering 2 ( Two) student scholarships, one for $1,000 and another for $750, will be offered to students pursuing a degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Engineering Management at Universities in Oregon or Washington.. Important dates are:
 
 · May 5, '08 - Application available from college or ASPE Chapter 54  

· April 25 - Scholarship applications must be emailed or mailed to ASPE by April 25, 2008  

· June 6 - ASPE determines scholarship winners and all candidates are notified of the results  

· July 11, '08 - Scholarship checks are mailed to the universities of the winners

2008 CHAPTER 54 Scholarship & Educational Assistance
for Members
ASPE Columbia-Pacific Chapter 54 has established a scholarship and educational assistance program for Chapter 54 members and family members.

ASPE Chapter 54 is dedicated to advancing the study of cost estimating in construction related fields.  To promote this objective, ASPE Columbia-Pacific Chapter 54 has established a scholarship and academic assistance program for Chapter 54 members and family members.

 

Eligibility

ASPE Chapter 54 member or a family member may apply.  Applicants must be enrolled in classes or ASPE Chapter 54 Seminars in either Oregon or Washington, and must be residents.

 

Application

To apply, applicants need to fill out the Scholarship and Academic Assistance Application and return it to ASPE Columbia-Pacific Chapter 54, P.O. Box 6661, Portland, OR 97228-6661.  If your application is accepted, you will receive a letter from ASPE Chapter 54 stating the specific amount of reimbursement that has been approved.   

 

Evaluation

Scholarship recipients and the amount of funding are based on the relative merits of the programs or courses in which they are enrolled.  Assistance shall be allocated to applicants based on funds available and relative merits of the program or course in which the member is enrolled.  The decision to award academic assistance is at the sole discretion of ASPE Chapter 54.

Seminar Series

 

ASPE Chapter 54 Estimating Seminars Spring 2007 

 

Want to improve your estimating skills or learn how to estimate different types of work?  

Just mark your calendars and plan on attending one of our estimating seminars.

 Classes will be held at the AGC Center in Wilsonville and run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

 All instructors are ASPE members estimating and bidding work on a daily basis. Two are Certified Professional Estimators (CPE) and the third is a Professional Engineer (PE)

 Class fees are:

 General $150;

 ASPE, NAWIC, or OAME Member $125;

Students w/student body ID $75.
